As a pioneer “new type of think tank with Chinese characteristics,” CCG is dedicated to researching think tank theories and continuously innovating management practices, promoting the innovative development of Chinese think tanks, and promoting academic exchanges and management experience sharing between Chinese think tanks and academic experts and international top think tanks through multiple channels. Over the past ten years, CCG has been actively learning from cutting-edge ideas and management practices of international top think tanks, and has been exploring new ways to meet the needs of Chinese think tanks by sending visiting scholars, "going global" international exchange, organizing the annual China Global Think Tank Innovation Forum, and seminars for international top think tanks, publishing research works, and cooperating with international think tanks. CCG has developed into one of the leading non-governmental think tanks in China.

CCG President Wang Huiyao attends Dubrovnik Diplomatic Forum to discuss how to stabilize the global situation
On July 9, 2023, CCG President Wang Huiyao and CCG Secretary-General Mabel Miao were invited as the only representatives from China to participate in the Dubrovnik Forum in Croatia. They engaged in discussions with political figures from various countries, including Josep Borrell Fontelles, High Representative and Vice President of the European Commission; Antonio Tajani, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy; and Gordan Grlić Radman, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia. They were also invited to deliver speeches at the plenary session on how to stabilize and enhance global governance. Qi Qianjin, the Chinese Ambassador to Croatia, also attended the forum.

Luncheon meeting in Brussels to exchange with CCG
A high-level luncheon chaired by H.E. Erik Solheim, vice-chair of the Europe-Asia Center on the occasion of the visit to Brussels by the Executive Committee of the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) explored the leaders insight on EU – China dialogue and prospects of Sino –European relations.Among the participating guests the center was delighted to host H.E. On April 28th, Professor Joseph Nye’s new book, Soft Power and Great-Power Competition: Shifting Sands in the Balance of Power between the United States and China, published in English by Springer Nature and in Chinese by CITIC Press, was released at CCG. The book is another heavyweight work in the “China and Globalization” book series edited by Dr. Huiyao Wang and Dr. Lu Miao. During the event, Professor Joseph Nye and CCG President Dr. Huiyao Wang had a dialogue.
